Cool! I hadn't heard about this until now. I loved Operating Instructions and so cool to read the description of this one. Can I say cool again, or does that make me really not cool?
I loved Anne's writing for years until she turned into a raving political lunatic in her last couple of books. I sincerely hope she's gone back to her roots in this book because I miss the Anne of "Bird by Bird" and "Operating Instructions".

Hooray! I saw Annie Lamott right before the Obama election. She spoke with Elizabeth Gilbert, the Eat, Pray, Love writer. I have to say that Lamott made me laugh so hard, I almost wet my pants. She was also incredibly wise and made Gilbert look like a lightweight.
Can't wait for the new book!
You are so going to love this book, I can tell. By page 50 I have laughed out loud too many times to count, burst into tears three times, sobbing like a ninny once.
She captures the angst of parenthood and life so well, and she's like reading a conversation with a very funny, very wise old friend. I'm trying to read slow, it's a little book....
