Love the miracles in this, how each one rolls off at the end of a stanza. Each miracle it's own gift, in it's own wrapping.

And this:
"i clapped each one clean
like a great karate break"

Ahh! Yes.

Glorious miracles, indeed...every single one.

GREAT, INTENSE, & POWERFUL, SO MANY LOVELY BITS AND ELEMENTS TO MARVEL, however I would reconsider that first stanza with both a hammer and a scalpel but that's just me. The poem is intense and good, MM.

You are beautiful.
Your writing is beautiful.
I look forward to your posts, and I am very involved with your piece(s) on marriage. I read them aloud to my husband.

I'll buy your book ;)

Drax i might agree..usually i write a poem and it literally just falls from me in a very quick time- fifteen minutes tops, and i don't change a thing. i birth em and leave em. this poem came out sticky and stubbornly. my writing mojo is off since pregnancy and i'm forcing myself to write more to undo it.

there. chopped it a bit. still think the second stanza could use it to but too tired.

I have a problem with swelling too. I love how you have always made something new. this is beautiful, as always, you lovely lovely writer.

How do you do it? HOW???!!!

Your voice is so consistently brilliant and familiar, but in a way that only you can produce.

Here's to making something new.

Your sticky fifteen minutes freaking annihilate the sad limp efforts of most poets on the planet. Yes, I will buy your book.

Once again Mag, you amaze me! Glad to hear of your swelling! Imagine it's full of love and wonderment, much like your writing.
