having a community of people that you have cared for who can care for you
makes hard times much less hard- so it is doubly worth the effort to get involved with other people, even when you can think of reasons not to, even when you feel like you don't like anyone you meet- finding ways to love other people is spiritually circular, comforting and healing.

And was there Ever such a year before?

I'm glad to be part of your blog community, Maggie May. Keep up the good work.

Sounds like you're back on track to get into writing on your novel again. Ho hum.

I joke - writing a novel with a newborn must be illusory - but soon Ever will not be so little and things should improve.

You write plenty for your blog, anyhow. That has to count for writing practice at least.

I enjoyed reading your answers.

I agree with you about community. I used to have one, and now I sort of don't anymore... Not a tangible one anyway. I'm pretty sure that is one advantage of belonging to a church.

I sometimes wish I was belonged in that way...

You are right. You have inspired me. My community has dwindled down to a very very small circle since I discovered boundaries (YAY!) and now I need to develop a new community because as you say, you just never know when you might need one (or they might need you).

Thank you - your words just cracked my shell and really got me thinking. You rock. xxx

I love "Sons of Anarchy", too. I want to marry Jackson and bear his children, but he's way to young for me, sort of. Tee-Hee...

May 2011 be your best year yet.

Blessings,
Marion

What a remarkable family you are...and in the midst of your own just-emerged-from concerns, reaching out to a father and his children. I hope you are patient and gentle with yourself about the novel...one thing at a time.

Loving creates more love.
