oh, Baby!

Ever will sleep with Mr. Curry and I, and also share a room with Lola Moon. Lola is painting ( read: Mr. Curry ) her room blue at the end of this month, with orange stencils on the wall of her side that read Her Name Was Lola ( unless last minute changes, Lola Moon does lend itself to art) and Ever's side will read Ever After... with possibly a castle where the princess is saving the prince ( anyone read the awesome book The Paper Bag Princess) Then we will rehang her banner, where each panel is a fairy of a different season
ALSO..Lola is obsessed with the ocean ( she did a week of Sea World Camp in late June ) and I want to put up some great posters of sea life that are scientific in feel, like the butterfly poster above. if anyone knows where to find one, please hook me up. i can't find any that are just right as of yet )
Orange is Lola's favorite color, so I bought a few woven bright orange baskets at Michaels which are filled with books, and will be adding a few other orange touches to the room
Teepee!!! This is so awesome
I love the thrift store feeling art hung on this richly colored wall
co-sleeping with the new rich, found @ Marvelous K!ddo
found @ Oh Happy Day and totally inspired me to try to photograph this with Ever at Christmastime

Try www.liebermans.net for your poster. They have everything. Love your inspiration photos! I could live happily (ever after) in any one of those rooms!!

Love the baby on the book shelf and the fabric tent! Loveliness...

The blue and orange combo sounds swoon-worthy. Even better if Mr. Curry paints it!

What would it be like to actually live in a room like that? A room of dreams, someone else's dreams. My rooms are always messy.

God -- I love baby stuff. Let me live vicariously through you!

The collection is not extensive, but I like the seashell poster at http://www.astronomers.net/

These photographs are giving me the kick in the pants to finish some painting projects of my own.

Hi Maggie,

The children's rooms look inviting, and Lola and Ever's room will be wonderful! I'm sure Lola is excited, and happy to be included in the changes.

Believe it or not, I haven't read The Paper Bag Princess, but I know it is a children's favorite. (I also love books where the princess saves the prince!) You and Lola might also like the Paper Princess by Elisa Kleven, a wonderful illustrator.

It'd be even more badass if it was where she is skipping away from prince ronald because he is a douche bag ;c)

In England the Guardian news paper did a brilliant series of free posters about two years ago ranging from things from the sea to greek gods and english cheeses (not on the same poster!) I have tried to search the interent for them previously but to no avail. But I will have another look and will send you a link if I find anything.

Blue and orange? Is Lola destined to go to University of Florida or Auburn? Sorry. That's what sprung to my mind.
You know what, Maggie May? I think you would like my house.

I always love the photos you post. The one with the little baby on the bookshelf is adorable. I can't wait to see you capture that with Ever.
