Oh my gosh!!! I've been away for a few days and came back to this fantastic news. A girl!!!!! I am so very excited for you, and what a beautiful name!!!! I'm so thrilled it's like I'm vomiting exclamation points.
Yes, Auden, is right — names are untranslatable. Still and all, Elizabeth to me rings of Isabel in Spanish, the name of my mother and my oldest daughter, so you know that biggie pea's new name says a lot to me.
All the best to 'Ever Elizabeth' and you, Maggie May, and thanks for your visit today. It meant a lot to me.
You mind reading FREAK! I was submitting Hubs to big long baby name talk (on my convocation day he agreed to spend all evening doing whatever I want - I chose spring rolls, chocolate and baby name time)... Elizabeth came up MANY times.
Thank you friends..I did a blog post a long while back about Milla Jovavitch and her daughter Ever, and how that name was on my 'list'. Fast forward, and CJane, who I devotedly read, names her daughter Ever, to my shock! I suppose I had the stupid minded idea that was too 'out there' of a name for a Mormon girl, but Cjane proved me wrong. Now there will be two Ever's in the blogsphere. And the Elizabeth is after my Grandmother Elizabeth, who I loved dearly and was very close to in the last ten years of her life. One of her daughters, my aunt, is Elizabeth, and it is my missing sister Lura's middle name. So there ya go!
Beautiful. Bigge Pea's still cute too, but Elizabeth is lovely, classic. I'm excited for you. :)
I still call my 14 y.o. daughter "Pea" every day. (short for sweet pea). I rarely call her Morgan and almost always call her Pea. (I try to be careful around her friends to call her by her name.)
Thank you for expanding the writers' blogs world - from your comments at Radish King and Blackland. A quote of clear meaning, a name of strength. Congratulations and blessings.

"Her looks fading, the vain Lispector became increasingly reclusive and demanding. Addicted to cigarettes and sleeping pills, she exhibited erratic and sometimes imperious behavior. She would call friends in the middle of the night and flee dinner parties for little apparent reason. She had a reputation for being a liar."-<em>NYT on Clarice Lispector
My dear child, who can tell? One can only tell that, by remembering something which happened where we lived before; and as we remember nothing, we know nothing about it; and no book, and no man, can ever tell us certainly.
Some couples don’t ask much of one another after they’ve worked out the fundamentals of jobs and children. Some live separate intellectual and cultural lives, and survive, but the most intense, most fulfilling marriages need, I think, to struggle toward some kind of ideological convergence. Norman Rush

You have chosen well.

Really lovely.

Beautiful name. Beautiful mama. Beautiful family.
Good name, babe.
I love Ever! LOVE IT!! I can't wait to see her sweet little face.
The name Ever is so beautiful.
It's different but not in a strange just for it's own sake way.
It's enchanting and solid and hopeful and strong.
I love it.
Gorgeous. Just as I'm sure she herself will be.
