" For me, this small house, which I stayed in every summer from ages 6 to 35, has always been framed:house as House. Robert Venturi, Denise Scott Brown, and John Rauch completed it in 1972, and shortly thereafter it gained renown. Architectural historian Vincent Scully called it “what modern architects have always said they most wanted: a true vernacular architecture—common, buildable, traditional in the deepest sense, and of piercing symbolic power.” It is also where I lost my virginity, was proposed to, had my biggest family fights. Summer dream...no doubt. My summer dream place is Duck Creek, Cedar Mountain, Utah.

The summer places of our lives are full of magic. Love this!

nantucket is definitely one of my most favorite places to be in August/September .. ahhhhh bisous, bluepoppy
Summer dreams bring me camping to the Catskills; to the green waterfalls of Elmira, New York; or to any of those seaweedy, muddy lakes of New Jersey. Haven't been to any of those places in over a decade but they remain a part of summer dreams, always. : )

This makes me want to start our own summer traditional get-away.
Oh ... this has *American Dreams* written all over it.
Very cool and proof that every house is filled with so many stories, some that will be told and some never to be known!
