restoration is possible

One thing they never tell you about child raising is that for the rest of your life, at the drop of a hat, you are expected to know your child's name and how old he or she is. Erma Bombeck

Thinking is more interesting than knowing, but less interesting than looking.

Someone may have stolen your dream when it was young and fresh and you were innocent. Anger is natural. Grief is appropriate. Healing is mandatory. Restoration is possible.

This is your home, the home you have created with the blood and sweat and tears of any worthy warrior on her battlefield - and you planted these very seeds of green and light and innocence and beauty. You make us look with our hearts, so that we see rightly always.

Great set of photos. It is so amazing watching these little bodies grow into people.

Beautiful photos and quotes indeed. But don't worry about remembering names; my parents (who have four kids) still yell out a string of four names when they need a specific one of us - they never seem to get our name right on the first try. And we don't actually mind :)

This is a real celebration, a worthy one.

(I couldn't remember what grade my son was in yesterday. He thought I was mad! I am just eternally distracted.)

Endlessly adorable. Childhood should be all about tall grass and bear feet and playing your friend the golden retriever.

Oh I love these! Your daughter is such

And my favorite quote is the one from Thoreau... another one of his quotes I love is,

"All men are children, and of one family. The same tale sends them all to bed, and wakes them in the morning. "
