One of my favorite movies, animated or not, children's or not, Howl's Moving Castle. An absolute gem of a movie, uniquely observed, beautifully drawn and animated, fascinating backgrounds, wonderful characters, engrossing storyline, deeply felt and observed, quite touching. I cried! You need to see this movie!
OMG I absolutely love Howl's Moving Castle!
It's amazing how we become addicted to certain things. Mine is a regular coffee with a caramel shot. Yummilicious!

PS Don't tell Chuck I am cheating on him.
im a half and half girl too, who cares!! :D
i love howl. actually, i'm pretty fond of all of the miyazaki movies. i love that they all have strong girl characters in them.
Oh, how we all adore Howl's in this house! We added it to our collection quite a while ago, and my son cannot get enough of it.
I just love the voice of the "old" woman so...
me too! the old woman has one of the best voices EVER. something magic.
"Howl's Moving Castle" is one of our favorite Miyazaki movies. We love them all, from "Spirited Away" to "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind" to "Porco Rosso" to "Princes Mononoke" to "My Neighbor Totoro" to "Castle in the Sky." Have I left any out? We love them all!
Miyasaki based the movie on the book, Howl's Moving Castle, by Dianna Wynne Jones. The book has its own clever twists and turns, and is equally delightful. The movie and the book are quite different. For example, there is no war in the book; Miyasaki added that.
Spirited Away is also one of my favorite movies EVER. so delightful and so magical it is timeless- i will love it at eighty.
